Swatches: Ever Bilena and Fanny Serrano Blushes

If there's one product in your make up bag that can make a difference in your entire look, it must be the blush. Isn't cool how you can simply alter your look from dull to a healthy glowing face. Blushes is one of every women's must haves. That's why I'm such a sucker for blushes and lipsticks (Back in college, I sometimes use lipstick as blush too!). Honestly, I don't care if its Hi-end or a drugstore brand as long as the formulation doesn't give me skin irritations. Some of my favorite Philippines cosmetic brands are Ever Bilena, Fanny Serrano and Nichido, just to name the few. As you've always heard and has been highly raved by Filipina Makeup Gurus. Tadaaah! :)

I just wanna share my recent purchases from Rustan's Shopwise. As long as possible, I ignore buying make up from supermarket makeup counters because I'm quite shy doing swatches in the middle of our every Sunday grocery shopping! For sure, you'll see my mom's cart overflowing with food, snacks and our whole week home supplies, while mine's always end up with make ups and/or skin care products. As I prevent people from judging me for having an extreme make up addiction. LOL! I went back the next day and finally got a chance to grab these. :)

For contouring/bronzer, Ever Bilena Cheek Blush in Earth it has a  peach to brownish color which compliments every skin tone and one of my most favorite!! This is the possible dupe of The Balm Bahama Mama. I always use this for my evening look cos this one appears great on pictures, especially for flash photography. I love it sooo much! I just found my new best friend!

FS Two Way Cake in Rajah has a matte finish which also good for contouring but I find this  too powdery that's why I only use this for contouring forehead and jawline.

Ever Bilena Single Blush-on in Pink Petal, is a matte pink blush great for cool complexions.

As a make up enthusiast, I love Hi-end makeups because of the pigmentation and quality it gives. However, if you're on tight budget.. I recommend you looking for a dupe. Isn't good to see dupes that are available in drugstore? :)

My Thoughts: Renewing Organix Moroccan Argan Oil

Ognanix Moroccan Argan Oil weightless healing dry oil
Made in USA
Price: Php499
Place bought: Watson's, SM Mall of Asia

My thoughts.
Last year, my hair went through a lot of chemical treatments. I began changing hairstyles almost every season and due to rebonding, styling and constant hair coloring.. my hair became crazyly damaged. I hate it! I recently cut my hair short and planning to do it regularly every 2weeks just to revive it. Right now, I still dye my hair whenever I have regrowths and use treatment hair creams right after. I tried different hair care products but I recently discovered that Argan Oil has a lot of good benefits to chemically treated hair.
I was at Watson's 2 weeks ago, when I saw this Ognanix Moroccan Argan Oil weightless healing dry oil for only Php499. I applied into my hair ends and I was a bit surprised how it softens my frizzy hair so I bought it! All I thought its 100% Argan oil and for the price of Php499 it was a pretty good deal (cos pure Argan oils I know were pricey, I believe) but as upon reading the ingredients from the label, It appears to be that it wasn't pure. I honestly don't have any problem if this isn't pure Argan oil since it does a good job to my hair, plus it smells so good. I'm trying to define or compare the smell to others that I've tried on but this one seems to be unique. If you ever get a chance to stop by Watson's or anywhere you can find this product, make sure to give it a little sniff cos I'm trying to find a perfume close to this smell. The scent was like floral -ish with a little hint of vanilla, I don't now. Anyway, I love this product so much and I think, the best hair care product that I've tried so far for this year. I'll definitely try the other Organix products next time and probably make a review.

Retail Therapy

3am and still awake? I was really all knocked out earlier cos I had this massive headache and now I can't get back to sleep. So I thought blogging is the only way I can release all my sentiments towards life. Haha! I'm in major stress this past few weeks because of some personal issues and so to keep myself away from those mental pressures I spoiled myself from shopping. Like most of us do. Right? Okay! I'm not gonna lie, My emotional shopping disorder attacked me once again and I became compulsive from buying stuff.. or shall I say Its just a retail therapy. :) As usual, makeup and clothes are my most stress reliever. I'll do a separate blog for my 'February Favorites', which will be up on first week of march. I'll show all what I've purchased, from least favorite to my most favorite make-up, clothes and other stuff that I got for the whole month of Feb.

I don't know why but there's an enigmatic thrill when I shop and It gets worsen when I'm in stress. LOL! I remember Rebecca's lines in "The Confessions of a Shopaholic" movie  "When I shop, the world gets better.." and I honestly feel that too. In my most normal days.. I don't usually go on shopping spree unless its all about basic essentials. Its really funny sometimes when I'm extremely mad in a person or when things aren't going well, expect that I'm always out for a window shopping. Sometimes I found myself... "Ugh! I hate hate hate that person! I hate my job! I hate my toenails! I hate the entire universe!!" *and then 1hr later* "Oh! This Aztec dress is so cute... why was I upset again??* LOL! See how fast my mood boosted? What I'm trying to say is that.. Sometimes, Its not bad  to baby yourself with nice things if thats the only way you can get rid of that negative emotions you feel. If you deserve it though! Do it!

Let's just not forget that in this world, material things are just temporary pleasures and so as problems. I mean, you can't live with your problems forever! Retail therapy sometimes can help you but when it became anxious and led you to large credit card bills and inevitably immense debt or loss of property. You have a problem.Shop with responsibility because in the end, we're the only one who is accountable in every act we do.

We have our family, friends, love ones and God which is a great support system to survive a terrible day. Spend time with your bestfriend or have a coffee date with your mom. Its the simple things in life that sometimes we forget to enjoy. Stress? It'll pass anyway.

"Love received and love given comprise the best form of therapy."

PRODUCT REVIEW: SNOE Star Night Star Bright (Night Perfecting Toner)

Snoe Star Night Star Bright (Night Perfecting Toner)

It was November last year when I first discovered Snoe at SM City Sucat. I easily got attracted to purchase their products simply because of the packaging (reminds me of Benefit) and they said, Snoe is proudly from the Philippines and so why not give it a try?

Place Bought: Snoe branch SM City, Sucat
Price: Php 179.00 (4-5USD)

what it claims..
> Anti-Anging
>Whitening
> Anti- Acne
>Exfoliating
>Pore Refining
>Spot Remover

Ingredients: Purified Water, Glycerin, PPG, Salicylic Acid, Tocopherol, Vitamin C, Monus alba (mulbery leaf extract, Phenoxyethanol, Acai berry, Allantoin, Niacimide vitamin B3, Peg 40, Lavender essence, Frescolat, Menthy lactate, Symcalmin, Butylene glycol, Pentylene glycol, Hydroxyphenyl prompamidobenzoic acid.

Upon application you'll feel a slight cooling effect, it leaves a minty feeling for first few minutes. My only concern was the smell. I'm a little bit off with the alcohol-like/super strong scent that's why I immediately stop using this toner during my first application.. but eventually, I got used to it. As much as possible, I avoid using this product everyday. Instead, I use this 3x a week due to content of Salicylic Acid (which aids your skin during breakout). I believe, It can make your skin dry for longer usage.. although, I have an oily- combination skin. I'm still using a moisturizer after toning just to replace the natural oil that has been washed or wiped off.

In terms of the effectiveness this toner really does the job. I've been using this for almost 2 months now and I'm loving it. I don't know if this improves my complexion as I already have a cool-warm undertone. However, My skin became softer and I noticed that my oily skin became controllable especially during day time (Is that indicates that my pores tightened?), but still my pimple scars (dark spots) didn't change at all. Anyhow, I'll continue to use this and try to post some updates if this toner really did something magical to my skin.

All in all.. I would rate this as 3/5.  The only thing that bothers me is the scent. I don't like the smell though I'm thankful that this product made few improvements to my skin. I really hope Snoe would come up with an idea to repackage this into small/medium/large bottle sizes and change the scent so its more appealing to the market.

COPPER Clothing

Hi Lovelies! Hope you all guys having a good day! So yesterday my sister Karen and I attended the Ash Wednesday night mass at Resurrection Of Our Lord Parish Church, BF Homes. Since Karen finally took a break from her work.. we decided to stopped by Ruins BF (which is nearby the church) for little window shopping, and yet as we walked in.. I saw this store COPPER Clothing full of gorgeous fashion pieces. I told myself to not buy anything for I've bought new summer clothes 2weeks ago (thats why I became broke after that). Apparently, I can't help myself but to try them on.(If you love clothes, I know you'll understand mey! Hehe!)

I like the first two Aztec skirt that I fitted on but I chose this glam pink maxi dress because of its versatility. I can either use it for casuals and formals. And Its the last piece left. Oh yeah! Isn't she lovely? :)

PRODUCT REVIEW: Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion (Original)

Hi Lovelies! Happy Valentines Day! Today I'll be reviewing this Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Portion in Original. I've been hearing a lot of good reviews about this primer for so long, I think most of beauty gurus on Youtube has been using this like Michelle Phan, Say Tioco Artillero and many more. I actually saw this first on one of Promise Phan's Youtube tutorial, 2yrs ago and after that I've always wanted to try it. Sadly.. I live in the Philippines where its sooo difficult to purchase UD cosmetics as compared to MAC which is available in some leading malls around Manila. I bought mine thru online shop carefreeshopper (super trusted online shop, fast transaction!) where they sell UD and other international brands as well.

So lets see whats the hype all about.

Packaging: I noticed the packaging has changed.. The old one was a stand up bottle tube that comes with a wand applicator but what I've got is in squeeze form.
Price: Php 1,150 (28USD)
Place bought: carefreeshopper

Swatches.

The consistency is very light weight, smooth and soooo easy to work with. The color when first applied is very light creamy-ish but when it settle down it became translucent.

Left: Swatched my NYX Nude on Nude eyeshadow palette in bronzy gold w/o UDPP
Right: Swatched my NYX Nude on Nude eyeshadow palette in bronzy gold w/ UDPP

I love the fact that it makes your eyeshadow more vibrant at first application, but what my total concern was the staying power. I rubbed it few times to see if the eyeshadow will stay in place and it was! Its impressive! There's no doubt why a lot of make up lovers go crazy about this product.
All in all I would rate this to 9/10. 9 because of the price. Its pricey but
I will definitely purchase another one and love to try the other UD Primer Potion as well. This is the best eye primer I've ever tried so far! I'm so inloooooove!

Flatforms! Is it nay or yay?

Flatforms- Is it nay or yay?
One of my recent addiction are these flatform shoes. I wasn't really a huge fan of these until I got my first pair last December. I felt like barefooted when I first wore them but I suddenly got used to it. Its a weird-shape-flat-elevated shoes. It has flat surface right underneath which I think is a good training shoes for beginners. I actually prefer wedges and flatforms right now because Its more comfy and safe especially when you're just running errands around town and still want to add up a little height and cuteness.

I saw these Primadonna  leopard printed flatforms from Break My Style  which I've been eyeing for months now! Unfortunately, I can't find it in some Primadonna stores. -_- Hopefully they'll restock soon!!
